About me
Born in Togo, in West Africa, I came to France at the age of 7. I lived in Paris and its suburbs, then in Normandy and now I’m living in a nice village in Dordogne, where many English people have settled down too.
My studies and professional life
After a Bachelor of Art in English and American literature and civilization, I decided not to work first thing as a teacher and went on with a degree in International Trade Technique… and that allowed me to find jobs at the international. It was a chance for me to travel, opportunities for cultural exchanges and above all, a real enrichment.Â
At one point of my life I wanted to be useful and assist other people in achieving their goals. So I volunteered in an NGO in solidarity with migrants. One of our missions, and not the least, was to teach French to immigrants so that they gain their own autonomy… I followed many trainings, attended sociolinguistic and French as a foreign Language workshops. This is how I went back to teaching… and have been teaching since then.

Teaching ?
It is a headache to learn a language in general but it is worth the investment. I am mindful of students and get as close as possible to their needs to provide them with the support they need to succeed.Â
Learning by doing : conversation practice is a vital part of my teaching. Knowledge is acquire through experience.
What I love in teaching is meeting people, the relationship with students and cultural exchanges and teaching French is the pleasure of teaching a beautiful and rich language.
My hobbies
I like music, reading, dancing and painting. And since I live in the country I’ve taken to gardening. I have a real passion for roses.
